I am a relatively New Boxer (started sept 2008) and I list my boxes on both LBNA and AQ I check LBNA all the time and I log finds there as well. I dunno I know the AQ community can be very self absorbed and think that it IS letterboxing (I have seen this behavior) but anyone who is savvy knows there are other places to check for boxes before they go out. I know from my box logbooks that many local boxers do not record finds on-line at all.... If I could do it I would have my clues on my own website but I don't have the skill for that - I use AQ to list my boxes, that is a service it provides but I also list them on LBNA. I also just joined the Geocacheing website so that I could communicate with cachers who plant near my boxes and so that I could search for hybrid boxes. I am not into the numbers game (I will hike five miles for one box) but I do like to keep my online logbook accurate so I have a check against my paper logbook. So thats a profile of one "New" boxer.
